The Ice Cream Sandwich You Can't Eat

In the world we live in, we are always looking for bigger, better, faster and sleeker....especially when it comes to gadgets.

Android is taking the next step...With the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Yummy huh? Hold the drool fellas, lets take a look at some of the goodies with the new software first.

 All though the look at first doesn't change much, its different. Cleaner in many ways and larger icons. Super content rich applications, vivid colors and a new Home Page Folder is some of the new options.

Multi-tasking is what makes the new Android platform so amazing. 

No more stress closing apps because either your phone simple can't handle it and it becomes slower then a Grandma on a freeway. No more battery destroying by running multiple apps.


The virtual buttons on the bottom are nice, 5 main keys, usually found on many phones, but the recent apps list is where love is found.

Now for some Android Tablet users you might be a little familiar with this. It is a quick list that scrolls up and down switching from what you have been doing via past work.  It doesn't rob from the battery for having a billion of them open but clearly helps a ton.


With one push of the recent apps list, a quick move of the finger to where ever you wanna go and a click and your back to exactly where you left off on the browser...Or Marketplace, or Facebook...You get the picture.

Favorite trays, resizeable Widgets, lock screen detection, face friendly interface, and some other interesting fun little clean ups really go a long way for the Ice Cream Sandwich.


Do you have those pesky friends that wanna steal your phone to see what you texted Derek?  Or maybe you have an annoying little brother? Have no fear, there is a setting called Face Unlock...Which does exactly what it says, if on, the only way to unlock the phone is to show your face in front of it...Your texts to cute little Derek are now safe!


Now off the interface a little, the editing for photos is impressive, with multiple different things you can use.

Continuous focus, zero shutter lag exposure, stabilized image zoom, built in face detection, single motion panorama mode...I could go on forever.

Essentially, you don't need a digital camera anymore figuring that your camera for your phone is decently high...The editing for this platform is endless.

Android 4.0 has immensely improved the talk to text and text correction.
Many are very frustrated that the auto correct on their phones is terrible because it corrects "Horrible" with "Hey baby" . . . . And yes that has happened to me... Lets not talk about it.




It has a very deep dictionary and from when I took a test drive of it, it was very slick for at least 500 words that my fat fingers swyped to. Correcting me at every error smoothing out my horrific spelling...
